Earth-bound Astrophotos of Paul Scowen

Besides a considerable number pf the best Hubble Space Telescope images, Paul Scowen has obtained some very beautiful images of Messier objects with ground-based telescopes (in particular the 60-inch Palomar telescope):

M1: Palomar image of M1, the Crab Nebula
M16: Palomar image of M16, open cluster associated with the Eagle Nebula
