David Malin created this grogeous image of De Mairan’s Nebula M43,

a detached part of the the Great Orion Nebula M42.

In this image, the comma-shaped diffuse emission nebula shows up in great

contrast and detail. The image is a magnification created by David Malin from

a larger image of M42.
